Locates
Call before you dig – if you’re planning an addition, building a fence, or anything else that requires digging a hole deeper than 30cm (12 inches) or digging in the vicinity of your meter, call us first. In order to ensure that there are no underground power lines in the area, we will be HAPPY to provide a hydro locate free of charge during regular business hours. Accidentally digging into one of these lines can be very dangerous and expensive. Always remember to call Ontario One Call 1-800-400-2255. Please allow 48 hours notice to schedule.
Tree Trimming
If you notice tree branches growing too close to the power lines, please let us know. Rideau St.Lawrence Distribution will ensure their safe removal.
Critical Care Customers
If electricity is a medical necessity for any member of your household, please contact our office to make us aware of your needs. In the event of an electrical interruption, such information can aid us in responding to these critical needs.
Streetlight Repairs
If you notice any problems with local streetlights, call us for repairs.
Moving
If you are moving, we require at least 24 hours notice before we are able to do a final reading during regular business hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Two weeks notice is preferred.
